इलाहाबाद संग्रहालय
इलाहाबाद संग्रहालय सिविल लाइन्स क्षेत्र के हरे-भरे कम्पनी बाग के नाम से प्रसिद्ध चन्द्रशेखर आजाद पार्क में स्थित है। यह प्रयाग, इलाहाबाद सिटी (रामबाग) तथा इलाहाबाद जंक्शन स्टेशन से लगभग तीन किलोमीटर तथा बमरौली हवाई अड्डे से 12 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर है।
सन् 1863 में राजस्व परिषद द्वारा उत्तर पश्चिम प्रान्त की सरकार से पब्लिक लाइबे्ररी और एक संग्रहालय की स्थापना हेतु निवेदन किया गया। प्रान्तीय सरकार के अनुदान से प्रसिद्ध पुरालेख शास्त्री सर विलियम म्योर और महाराजा विजय नगरम को अधीक्षक पुस्तकालय एवं संग्रहालय के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया तथा 1878 ई. में आरनेट भवन को उद्घाटित कर एकत्रित संग्रह को रखा गया।

दुनिया भर में संग्रहालयों की अवधारणा में बदलाव आया है। दुनिया भर में समकालीन संग्रहालयों के वर्तमान रुझान पिछले कुछ वर्षों में काफी बदल गए हैं। अब, संग्रहालय अपने संस्थान को समुदायों के एक अभिन्न अंग के रूप में फिर से तैयार करने का प्रयास करते हैं, अपने संग्रहालय को और अधिक समावेशी बनाते हुए संग्रहालय की जगह की कल्पना और सुनिश्चित करके अपनी अवधारणा को बदल देते हैं जहां अधिक से अधिक सार्वजनिक भागीदारी को प्रोत्साहित किया जाता है ताकि संग्रहालय को और अधिक इंटरैक्टिव बनाया जा सके साथ ही दर्शक केंद्रित। इलाहाबाद संग्रहालय न केवल अपने समृद्ध और विविध कलाकृतियों के संग्रह के लिए जाना जाता है बल्कि इसे एक ऐसे संस्थान के रूप में स्वीकार किया जाता है जो आपको अपने दोस्तों, पड़ोसियों से मिलने, विचारों और विचारों पर चर्चा करने और समुदाय का सक्रिय हिस्सा बनने की अनुमति देता है। हमारे संग्रहालय में आयोजित होने वाली कलाकृतियों और कार्यक्रमों के बीच एक सहजीवी संबंध रहा है।
